Revising the business model for a major visitor attraction
The severity and nature of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on tourism and recreation is such that, even when travel resumes again, the numbers and types of visitors to destinations and to individual attractions will be subject to major change. Recognising this, one of TEAM’s clients in Northern Ireland, Mid and East Antrim District Council, recently asked TEAM to review and revise the business model for its main visitor attraction and assess the implications. Using directly relevant expertise in visitor attractions management, TEAM has produced a model that will identify the effect on business of three different scenarios relating to the impact of Covid-19 on tourism and recreational travel. The work will be completed by the end of June.
