Novruz is on the doorstep! The last Tuesday (Akhyr chershenbesi) before him is also the Tuesday of the Earth (Torpag chershenbesi), when we honor the earth and nature for their generous gifts. According to tradition, children leave hats at other people's doors that need to be filled with treats, girls guess, put a tray with sweets, semeni and candles (khonchu) on the table and serve pilaf. About sweets later, and now we will go to a corner of the wild and preserved in the pristine beauty of Azerbaijan's nature - the unique Shirvan reserve. The entrance costs 2 AZN, and you can also take a safari tour and see the pink pelican, black stork, spoonbill, flamingo, egret, steppe boar, Caspian seal, and others rare representatives of the fauna. But the main treasure of the reserve is graceful gazelles, which in our country are considered a symbol not only of beauty and grace but also of the rich nature of Azerbaijan. By the way, the gazelle Jeyran and Nar (pomegranate) were the mascots of the European Games in Baku in 2015!
