In the year of the 880th anniversary of the birth of Nizami, we continue our journey to the places associated with the name of the great Azerbaijani poet, thinker, and humanist. And we go to the largest park in the city of Guba, named after him. Both townspeople and tourists like to come to this park with fountains and old trees, where the Nizami monument stands, to enjoy the fresh air, drink a cup of aromatic coffee in one of the cafes, and admire the bas-reliefs along the alleys depicting the heroes of the poet's immortal works. From here on the stairs with sculptures you can walk up to the ancient arched bridge with 14 spans! Built by the decree of Alexander III in 1894, this 275m long and 8m wide baked brick bridge across the Gudialchay River is an architectural monument. After crossing it, you can get to the famous Red settlement. The inhabitants of this unique village are Mountain Jews, whose ancestors lived in the Guba region for centuries. A very interesting place! But this, as they say, is a completely different story.
